The KingstoneSchool has adopted the national requirement to produce an enterprise capability which can offer young people the opportunity to be enterprising though acquiring and applying their knowledge, skills and attributes.

Faced with an additional requirement to secure short term work placements; which generally produce low ranking support roles; Kingstone have sought to provide a new and innovative solution for both requirements. 

In 2006 Kingstone established a formal partnership with the Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre Ltd to develop and implement a pilot programme designed to promote achievement though the raising of aspirations.

We have been proud to be involved in the development of the pilot program and delivery of the first year’s activity.  We provided training on:

• Sales and Marketing
• DISC profiling – advanced communication skills
• Health and Wellbeing – Why it’s important to look after yourself.
